A full-time postdoctoral position is available at Rutgers University, and is expected to start in immediately. The position is fully funded until 9/19/2024 with a recent award from Department of Energy ARPA-E's SHARKS Program. Candidates will work with Dr. Onur Bilgen (Rutgers PI). The contract is for a minimum period of one year, and it is highly desired that the candidate can participate for at least two years.
Subject Areas: Multi-Physics Modeling,Structures, System Dynamics, Hydro/Aero Dynamics, Multi-disciplinary Design Optimization, Experimental Design and Testing, and Control.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Highly motivated candidates with a Ph.D. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or in a similar engineering field.
Published or accepted journal papers.
Strong programming skills in Matlab and/or Python.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Equipment Utilized:
Basic knowledge in the Linux operating system, open-source codes, GitHub, and parallel processing.
