Position Purpose & Responsibilities: NHA is hiring a Program Assistant to assist NHA staff in key administrative- and logistical-related efforts. The Program Assistant will report to NHA’s Director of Operations.
Support the NHA staff and CEO in managing NHA member committees and councils, including updating / maintaining web pages, scheduling meetings, and helping to prepare NHA external communications (e.g., letters to Capitol Hill, etc.)
Regularly update/add contact data, including “tagging” with relevant committee and council lists, within NHA’s association management system and other software
Assist NHA staff and CEO in responding to/fulfilling requests for information from contacts of member organizations and prospective member organizations, government agencies, regulators, and others
Track and record member meeting attendance, which feed into the association’s member engagement tracking efforts
Create tables, graphs, and graphics for insertion in emails, placement in PPT presentations, and additions to webpages
Assist NHA staff in tasks related to shaping session content and recruiting/confirming session leaders and speakers for in-person NHA-owned national and regional events
Provide assistance to NHA’s manager of administration as needed, including backup on financial postings and invoice processing
Other duties as assigned.
1 to 2 years of relevant experience
Demonstrates attention to detail, high quality standards, quick learner, a strong focus on customer service, highly organized/strong organizational skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, data management software (examples: association management software, WordPress, etc.)
Proficient in creating graphs, tables, and other visual graphics
Experience with Adobe Creative and/or Canva is a plus
Team player - willingness to work on teams and with members of the association
